My Guardian Angel

Friendship is one thing, but an incredible bond that can never be broken…. Priceless! I always thought I had good friendships growing up, ones you can vent to, ones you can sometimes be vulnerable with, and some you can put all your energy in and hope the bond is mutual. I thought I had that, and after college I thought I met all my long-term friendships, I didn’t know if I would find a good friend while in the real world of life and working. I had no idea I would meet My Favorite Person, My Sister, My Guardian Angel I now learned. I met Molly Ashley at a new job, I was lucky to be trained by her. She was a quiet, reserved, shy lady I thought…. But there was just something about her that I just HAD to be her friend!!! To this day, I cannot explain it! It was a feeling that I could not let go. What Martin Luther King Jr. Day Means to Me

  Dr. King succeeded in making the world a better place. This is why we celebrate his legacy every year. If he was alive today, he would be still fighting against the racist discrimination plaguing our country. Every day we can find a way to make a difference in our communities and use the power for kindness – whether a kind word to the grocery store employee or ordering take out from a local small business – it will be one more day where injustices have no ability to take root and grow. Those days will become the days where we see only the best in others. When we make service to others happen every day, every day becomes a ‘day on.’ Dr. King’s legacy and principles is a reminder of why we need to believe in the justice and equality of all humans, given the complex world around us and the challenges we face, it’s upon all of us to make the world around us a better and more equitable place to live. We must understand the power of difference. For me, that means respecting others and ac
